If you want to be blissfully “away from it all” amidst spectacular west coast scenery, then Glaschoille, is the place. The small village of Inverie, 2 miles away, has a shop, restaurant, pub and post office. Frangag, the Estate private motor cruiser takes guests from Mallaig out to Inverie, on Knoydart, at the beginning of the week and collects and returns guests at the end of the stay. There is also a passenger ferry, “The Western Isles” which runs between Mallaig and Inverie every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, leaving at 10.15 am and 2.15 pm, returning from Inverie at 11.00 am and 3.00 pm.
