Green Craig
WE SAY...
Situated within 50 acres of private woodland estate, Green Craig is just 15 miles east of Edinburgh on the shores of the Firth of Forth beside Aberlady and Gullane. Built in 1923 for the family of the Earl of Wemyss, Green Craig lies minutes from Gullane and provides a luxurious haven for golfers.
The gardens at Green Craig have chipping lawns with flags and tee markers, a practice bunker and wooden swing. There is ample space to park cars and also enough space to land a helicopter. A stunning private bay is accessible from the house, birds and animals can be viewed including a seal colony on the sand bank.

Public rooms are spacious, with a large sitting room, open log fires, guest office with internet access and a beautiful period panelled dining room. We also have a locker room for your golf clubs.
Dinner is taken in the panelled dining room and is an elegent affair. Whereas breakfast is served in the large famly sized kitchen, overlooking Gosford Bay. Both at breakfast and dinner, we take pride in using fresh local produce.

Scotland, and East Lothian in particular, is considered a golfer's paradise, for both players and spectators alike. East Lothian possesses 22 courses that offer a mix of traditional links and classic inland golf to suit all standards and tastes.
The famous Muirfield links, Gullane I, II and III and the private club of Luffness are within a 5 minute journey, whilst the magnificent new links golf course of Craigielaw and the traditional links course of Kilspindie neighbour the house itself.
Our concierge is well connected within the golfing community and will be delighted to book tee times and transportation to the courses of your choice. For those golfers who wish to sample some of the courses further afield, such as Carnoustie, Dornoch, Troon or Turnberry, then we will make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
