Situated within 50 acres of private woodland estate, Green Craig is just 15 miles east of Edinburgh on the shores of the Firth of Forth beside Aberlady and Gullane. Built in 1923 for the family of the Earl of Wemyss, Green Craig lies minutes from Gullane and provides a luxurious haven for golfers.

The gardens at Green Craig have chipping lawns with flags and tee markers, a practice bunker and wooden swing. There is ample space to park cars and also enough space to land a helicopter. The property opens onto the shoreline with access directly onto the beach. A stunning private bay is accessible from the house, birds and animals can be viewed including a seal colony on the sand bank.

Decorated to the highest standard, the design incorporates the best that Scotland has to offer in cashmeres, wools and tweeds. Each room has been individually tailored for comfort.

Public rooms are spacious, with a large sitting room, open log fires, guest office with internet access and a beautiful period panelled dining room. We also have a locker room for your golf clubs.

Dinner is taken in the panelled dining room and is an elegent affair. Whereas breakfast is served in the large famly sized kitchen, overlooking Gosford Bay. Both at breakfast and dinner, we take pride in using fresh local produce.

There are twenty two golf courses literally on the doorstep, the furthest being a thirty minute drive from Aberlady, making Green Craig an ideal base for a golfing enthusiasts holiday!

For those non-golfing members of the party, the centre of Edinburgh is only 20 minutes away by rail from Longniddry, or 30 minutes by road, and the city offers extensive shopping facilities, sightseeing opportunities and a buzzing nightlife. Green Craig also provides a great base for those wishing to experience the Edinburgh Festival during August.
