Thank you so much for suggesting Kinlochmoidart for 2012. We all had the most fantastic holiday, the property is amazing, full of interesting things & the accommodation is excellent, it was great to start to explore another area of Scotland & can see there's much more to discover so everyone is keen to return. Mrs Stewart made our stay so easy, was very helpful if we needed anything & just left us to get on with our trip, perfect!

Our group had a fantastic weekend. The tower itself is an amazing space and we managed to get to the clay pigeon shooting and a few walks so all good. Thanks also for the recommendation on Meldcat for the catering - Cathy was lovely and everyone enjoyed the food. There was a great pub about a 40 minute walk away as well which helped enormously. Will definitely be booking again some time.

We have now landed back in Perth, Western Australia some 3 weeks ago & now have sorted most of the problems that being away for nearly 5 months involve & would like to thank you both so much for all your input in helping us choose Conaglen for one of the best weeks of our lives, & I mean all 14 of us. We were lucky with the weather in Conaglen which put the icing on the cake. The staff were excellent, being able to mix friendliness with professionalism. The food was exquisite & the menu brilliant. Ross & John also treated us to some good fishing & walks & we were all very sorry when the week ended.

We all had a fantastic time at Aikwood, it really is a very special place.
I've given it some thought and I can honestly say I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere that has impressed me as much as Aikwood. I think the history and obvious care and attention from the family who own it and the fact that they have left so much of their personal history in situ makes you feel quite privileged to share the experience. Aikwood has also been modernised magnificently and so combines modern creature comforts within the tower effortlessly.
Everybody had a fabulous time and we all agreed it felt too short.
I couldn't recommend the place highly enough.

We had such a fantastic family holiday at Conichan - it was everything we wanted! Thanks for all of your help in organising it - it really was just brilliant! Everyone loved the property and felt really homely straight away! We all loved the area and will definitely be returning!

We had a super time, the house is ideal for entertaining 21 thirsty and hungry people. The flexibility of Leaper was very helpful also. The house has a super feel to it and the evenings were extra special in the spacious dining room.
I would recommend the sea kayaking which we booked through Rockhopper, based in Fortwilliam. A recommendation from Glenuig hotel. They can also provide this for more experienced kayakers.
Stalking is also superb, with amazing views. Extra special to have nice, helpful stalkers who took their time and explained to the novices about the art of stalking.
Thank you for making the booking so easy. It was a super couple of days.

The week was great as always. I stalked on Fealar and one day on Glenfernate with "little" Davey who was great. Mark Wood at Fealar was also brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him (and the ponies, one of which - Angus - head butted the Ghillie into the stream!). Margaret at Glenfernate was her usual fun self as was her daughter, Jackie, who cooked for us and her daughter, Alison. Though I would give Margaret more praise for the fact that she does everything she can to make the stay comfortable and warm as possible. It's rather like staying with family (but nicer!). Likewise Jackie - just great cooking and great to be with.
But what was really good was wifi which meant we could work far more easily and that led to a lot less stress and more relaxation. We'll definitely be back if allowed!
